AR-15 Seminar
The Terrell Rifle and Pistol Club hosted another AR-15 seminar at the club on September 26th. The participants learned basic gun safety, how an AR-15 works, how to clean one, and how to shoot one. Following a morning of classroom presentations, hands-on cleaning instruction, and a catered barbecue lunch, the participants moved to the 200 yard range for live fire work under the watchful eye and assistance of experienced coaches from the club's High Power rifle program. The seminars, normally held several times a year, are a great way for the new AR-15 owner to learn how to get the most from this versatile rifle. The next seminar should be held in early 2021.

Our Newest Distinguished Rifleman
For almost 140 years the US military and the Civilian Marksmanship Program have awarded the best of the best rifle and pistol marksmen with the Distinguished Rifleman and Distinguished Pistol Shot badges. Several of our club members have earned one of these awards, but only a very few have earned both. We are proud to introduce our newest "Double-Distinguished" member - David Schaller. David earned his Distinguished Pistol Shot badge in 1997 and his Distinguished Rifleman badge this year. David was honored by some of his fellow Distinguished Riflemen at our September High Power Rifle match in a "Pin Passing" ceremony that has become a Texas tradition. In this ceremony, a Distinguished Rifleman lapel pin is passed down by fellow Distinguished Riflemen from the oldest to the newest. Please join us in congratulating David on his outstanding accomplishment.
